Greek View of The World
The Greek view of the world both resembles and differs from the contemporary view. The Greek view resembles the contemporary view in that there were different god's for different parts of life or earth. For example Aphrodite is the god of love and in the Catholic view there is only one God that loves us all equally and created us in his image. Additionally, the views are similar because there were still god's that created things and some loved the humans. However, the Greek view is not the same as the contemporary view because the Greeks believed in sacrifices to the god's for something in return. In the Greek view there was chaos and emptiness in the world like the Catholic view but God created everything in six days and took a break on the seventh were in the Greek view it took more than that and new and younger god's came and killed the older god's. There was a resemblance with the humans and Adam and Eve, because Hera threw Hephaestus out of Olympus because of his disability and Adam and eve disobeyed God by eating the apple form the tree.
