This week in in Ms. Stronks class we were learning about Greek Mythology and the Catholic View of it. There are many similarities and differences and the biggest one was how it took one God six days and on the seventh he took a break. In the Greek god's it took years and many god's to make different things. for example Poseidon was the god of the ocean and Jesus just said a command and it happened. For me Greek Mythology is very interesting and amusing how Ares (god of war) would fight on both sides at the same time and how it is just a huge family and that many of them are nephews or the queen (Hera). Many of them are not god's like the Cyclopes made the lightening bolt for Zeus. There is also something very alike in the Catholic and Greek view like when Adam and Eve disobeyed and ate from the Forbidden tree. And when someone did something wrong they were thrown out from Olympus. The Greek world is just fascinating and very alike to the Catholic view and the only difference is us Catholics only worship one God and not multiple god's. Another interesting thing going on this week is teacher conferences, I am a little worried that bad things will be sad mainly because I have been trying so hard to make my parents proud and stay like that for the whole year and upcoming years. Also because of Christmas, I am trying to get on the "Good List". I will not be going to school on Friday and I hope not much goes on, on that day because I don't want to miss out on homework so my grade doesn't lower. I will be visiting my Godfathers father because he has bronchitis and I have always treated him like a grandfather and he has treated me like a grandson. I hope someone reads this and prays for him. We call him Quico. Please pray for him and that he gets better.
